Jonathan Davison founded his practice Create Golf in 2011 after seven years working for some of the most respected companies within the golf course industry. With initial studies in graphic design and a post graduate diploma in golf course architecture from Edinburgh College of Art, Jonathan moved to Ireland to gain experience within the golf course design profession.
In 2007 he relocated to Central Europe to help grow the game of golf in cooperation with English architect Jeremy Ford. This lead to the completion of a number of prominent developments such as Prague City Golf Club, Czech Republic, Sobienie Krolewskie Golf & Country, Poland and Poland’s first municipal golf course at Zawarcie Golf Course, Gorzow.
His philosophy is inspired by the traditional theme of golf course architecture. He combines a passion for golf, an artistic flair and a hands on approach with each and every project. He continues to learn about the art of golf course architecture by visiting the classic golf courses designed by architects such as Harry Colt, Tom Simpson and Dr Alistair Mackenzie.
Currently he is working on a number of exciting new build projects throughout Central and Eastern Europe. In 2013, the company successfully opened its first solo design at the highly celebrated Penati Golf Resort, Slovakia.
